In the photo above you can see women living in Rumbek County (South Sudan) during the last 8th March demonstration. These women took to the streets to strongly ask for one thing: education. These women want a real education for their children to give them a future of peace, freedom and real development in a land destroyed by decades of civil war between the North and South Sudan, with over 2 million people displaced who have lost everything they owned.

Today building a Teacher Centre means to do more than others flashing projects.

Because today in South Sudan “teach to teach” means donate a new future ; a future of peace, prosperity, serenity, peace and work.

Help us to donate a new future to South Sudanese children!

This is a project based on Fr. Daniel Comboni’s mind, “Save Africa by Africa”, because build the Teacher Training Centre means to reinforce nation foundations, its men, women and guys. Because it is important that this nation could build a future based on intelligence, ability and autonomy of its people.

It is a project that would like to invest on new generations development to go far away.

 Beyond war, hate, ignorance, devastation.

Towards a future of peace and autonomy.

Help us to donate a different future to South Sudan.

TEACHER TRAINING CENTER

The Lakes State is a nation more than 40.200 square Km wide and with a population of 350.000 people and more than 2 millions of displaced people; here there are no teacher training schools. Into the Diocese of Rumbek there are tens of thousands school-age children; only 10.000 of them go to school and only the 4% of female finished primary school.

There are only 250 teachers (between these people only 5% of them has a qualification to execute this work).

This is a dramatic situation because without a basic education it is impossible to reach an economical and social development. And without trained teachers become a developed nation remain just a dream.

Teacher Training Centre in Cuiebet will train 250 enrolled teachers and a class of 30 new teachers every year. From next 5 years, 4.500 children will receive a basic education and a quality education thanks to the presence of trained and skilled teachers. Moreover, a larger teachers presence and an educational system that works is the best way to educate the 60% of children who at the moment can’t attend school.
