History of Cesar

Cesar is an Italian no-profit organization founded in 2000 and aimed at coordination of  groups and associations which promote cooperation activities to help South Sudanese people. In these years Cesar has implemented and managed educational, health, humanitarian, water and development projects.

Cesar dedicates part of its efforts on awareness campaigns focused on South Sudan, it organizes workshops of “education to development” and encourages town-twinning between Italian and Sudanese communities.

Cesar also promotes its activities through a fair trade shop.

26th October 2005 : legally recognition by the Prefettura di Brescia.

August 2006 : Cesar contributed to the constitution of Arkangelo Ali Association (AAA) a Sudanese health NGO working in South Sudan.

Cesar is also a member of “Consulta della Pace” (a consortium of no-profit organisations based in Brescia). 

Since 2008 : Cesar is member and partner of “Co.Lomba Association” (a consortium of NGO based in Lombardy).

Since September 2009 : Cesar is an NGO registered by Government of South Sudan (Ministry of Legal Affairs and Constitutional Development) and by GOSS – Southern Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (Certificate of Registration of NGO’s).

From January 2010 there will be a branch office of Cesar in Rumbek.

 

Cesar supports its local partners by means of:

-         fundraising activities;

-         planning activities concerning education, health, water, development and human promotion projects;

-         information and awareness campaigns in Italy.
